I have known the Atkinson family for a very long time; Andrew since the days of pushing trolleys in Asda car park (great job BTW) and Emily I have literally known my whole life… she’s my big sister! So on a bright, sunny and sometimes stormy summers day, I was invited along to capture a day in their life.
We built ant farms, skated in the street, got caught in a rain storm and finished off the day with a family game of Monopoly. No idea how Emily managed to convince the kids to play that game with her, I certainly didn’t have the attention span for it when we were kids!
It was an absolute joy to spend they day documenting my nieces and nephew as they went about their day enjoying the summer holiday, here is a little of what I saw:
If you would like me to come and capture your family’s unique brand of crazy then please visit the ‘Families’ section of my website and get in touch.
For all my fellow photography nerds, this entire documentary family photography session was shot on the Fuji X-T2 with the 23mm f1.4 lens.
