Manor Barn Cambridge
Rhian & Julian got married on a August day that brought with it pretty much every kind of weather, as we left the church the heavens opened but the white umbrellas were on hand to save the day. By the time we had made the journey to the reception venue, Manor Barn in Cambridge, it was as if the summer had been turned back on again with nothing but beautiful sunshine, perfect for an outdoor bouncy castle and steelpan band!
I recently caught up with Rhian & Julian to give you a little bit of insight into how they planned their fantastic day:
How did the proposal go down?
We flew to New York for NYE 2013. Julian’s original plan was to propose in Central Park, however the particular bridge he had chosen was closed off for a fireworks display. So plan b was an intimate proposal back at our hotel room! Followed by a celebratory dinner and watching the ball drop on Times Square.
How did you choose Our Lady and the English Martyrs as the wedding venue?
It was our 1st and only choice. We both wanted a church, and following on in Julian’s parents, and sisters footsteps, we chose the same beautiful church that they married in. (Bonus that it has enough seats to fit both families too)
What sort of experience did you want your guests to have?
A laid back, fun day!
What are your favourite memories of the day?
The bouncy castle!
Hearing the speeches.
Walking down the aisle.
What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?
Take time to explore your options and don’t settle for less than what you are looking for.
Do your wedding your way and you will have an amazing day!
What did you think to your photographs?
Our images were everything that we hoped for. We didn’t want to compromise when it came to our photographer as they will capture the images that you will keep forever, and the images we received were exactly what we wanted. Beautifully done with such attention to detail.
