“When light lands where love is…”
Creating a DIY wedding is not for the faint of heart, the planning, preparation…and stress, to be able to juggle the myriad of elements and logistical decisions that a wedding entails is enough to make the most organised of folk curl up and weep in the corner. But the pay off for such a task makes it all worth while, being able to create the most perfect of days with those that mean the most to you in attendance, in a location with incredible personal significance is just amazing.
Faye and Gabriel were married at St James Church in Twycross, a church in which stood a tree planted in the grounds by Gabriel’s parents to mark his birth. The reception was then held a short walk away in the grounds of the school that Gabriel’s parents own and he himself had attended, although today the school field played host to an incredible marquee beautifully decorated with a country rustic charm. The scene was set and all they needed was for the good old English weather to play ball…and that it did! Bathed in beautiful light and surrounded by loved ones, Faye and Gabriel totally smashed this ‘getting married’ business. It was such a pleasure to be able to capture it for them, here is a little of what I saw:
