Château Le Mas de Montet Wedding Photography – Leah & Craig
Château Le Mas de Montet truly is a sight to behold, a stunning Château nestled amongst the fields and trees of Périgord in the South of France. Looking like something straight out of Beauty & The Beast, it was no surprise that Leah & Craig fell in love with the venue and decided to hold their big day there.
On the morning of the wedding we awoke to overcast skies, not generally associated with the South of France, but nothing could dampen the mood as Team Bride got preparations underway. Leah’s squad of six were on a rollercoaster of emotions from excited laughter to emotional tears as they received beautifully thoughtful gifts from the Bride.
The ceremony was in Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, officially ‘One of the most beautiful villages in France’ at the Monalithic Church. The Monolithic church is a subterranean building built into the mountains of Aubeterre. By far one of the most epic ceremony venues I have ever shot in… although the seemingly never ending stairs almost killed me off when I climbed them for an arial shot of the proceedings (totally worth it).
After the ceremony we took a walk through the cobbled streets to capture some photos overlooking the village before heading back to the Château where the party began, although the party had already been going on for quite a while for one guest (see below)!
As a perfect day drew to a close we were gifted a stunning sunset of which we took full advantage, a few moments of calm in stunning light before an incredible party with a dance floor erupting from the moment the very first song played.
Beautiful people in beautiful country, here is a little of what I saw:
great set mate. Love the sunset portraits and that aerial ceremony shot!
YES! YES! YES! Great stuff Roo. Epic wedding, epic frames!
